This "funny" was sent to me by a good friend. Tonight at work I was beginning to think that Monday must be the day that people are making sure to eat all their beans and cabbage. A sweet elderly couple sat down at my desk to register for labwork. They were both very hard of hearing.The woman must have had something interesting to eat earlier in the day. I will just say it. She farted. Not just once but several times. Her husband who was the one getting labwork was signing his name on the consent and he was oblivious to all the "music" that his wife was making.
She seemed oblivious to it too! I had to do everything to keep a straight face and not giggle. It wasn't the farting so much that cracked me up as much as they both didn't seem to notice or care about it. I guess if I make it to 80 plus, I won't give a darn either!
Then later in the evening my co-worker and I were getting ready to eat our supper. She and I had both finished nuking our Lean Cuisine dinners and as she walked past my desk with hers, she accidentally let out a fart. We had already had some laughs with each other over the earlier incident with the old folks. She was so embarrassed but laughing so hard over it that I was afraid she might pee her pants.
The whole night at work was easy-going. I like nights like that. There wasn't any tragic car accidents...nothing too serious. Just some hurt fingers, sprained ankles, kids with runny noses and coughs, and some funny farts.

Yes, that was very strange.
Farts can be funny until you're the one letting one loose for other people to laugh at. I don't know why it's still socially unacceptable. We can do with one less thing to be embarrassed about. ;-)
