Ordinary Life's Janet has tagged me with this meme. I am supposed to come up with seven random facts/habits about me. Here goes....
1. I am a nail biter. Almost my whole life I have been a nail biter. About ten years ago I stopped biting my fingernails. It was just out of the blue that I noticed one day that I hadn't been biting them and they were growing out. For some unknown reason I had lost the compulsion to bite them and they grew out and looked so nice. I would paint them and file them and spent a lot of time making them look nice. I got compliments on them all the time too which was amazing to hear considering all the negative comments I had gotten over the years when I bit them. During my serious illness in 2002 I started biting them again and unfortunately I still do. Hopefully one of these days I will stop this awful habit!
2. I talk in my sleep. Sometimes I wake myself up by the sound of my voice talking out loud. A few times I have been dreaming something very upsetting and I am crying and have woke myself up by my sobbing. One time I woke myself up to hear myself talking in a jibberish language that sounded like a real foreign language.
3. I have several dreams every night. Very vivid dreams. Sometimes my dreams are like long movies. Sometimes I am an observer in the dream and other times I am an active participant. Sometimes in the dreams, I am me but I don't look like me. I also have two recurring dreams that I have had since childhood. In one of them I am flying (like Superman) over a large golf course. I swoop up and down and sometimes my tummy grazes against the tops of the trees. It is an extremely exhilarating and satisfying dream. In another dream I dream about walking through a tall grassy field up to an old house with gingerbread trim on the porch. The house is out in the country. I walk inside the empty house and walk up the stairs. I open up a door upstairs and enter a large white walled room. There are two doors on the left and one door on the right. I consider which of those rooms I want to check out. I open each of the doors on the left and look inside and see nothing that interests me. I walk over to the right and feel very nervous about opening that door. When I do open that door there is something inside that scares me and I wake up from the dream. I never remember what was in that room though. I always remember all the details about the outside and inside of that house and it seems like it is a very real house that exists somewhere. I also have lots of dreams with water in them. Either raging rivers where I am in a boat or I am flailing in the water or peaceful oceans or fun water parks. As you can see I am fascinated by dreams and love to hear about other people's dreams too.
4. I have never dyed my hair. I always wanted to but don't have the nerve to do it.
5. I have a fear of losing my teeth. I have just one filling in a back molar. That cavity appeared about six years ago.
6. I don't like to have a whole lot of ice in my iced drinks. Just three or four cubes of ice will do it for me.
7. I sleep with a lot of pillows. I have two large pillows, a smaller neck roll pillow and two large body pillows that I hug and fling my leg over as I lay on my side.
The hardest part of this meme is that I am supposed to tag others. I will tag cmk, ksquest, Tink, Mrs Who, Kees and Sue . ;-)

That's so interesting! And you seem to have wonderful dreams, I only occasionally have great dreams and I know what you mean about "I am me but it doesn't look like me". That happens all the time in my dreams!
I used to bite my nails way down, too, but I stopped, not sure how but I started fiddling with my nails-trimming cuticles, buffing, etc. and willing them to grow out. I still bite them if they get a snag, it feels so good to rip one off! ;-)
YIKES! I've been tagged!
I'm a nail-biter too and wear false nails.
I also have the vivid dreams (and who says you don't dream in color? I do.).
I do dye my hair.... and I sleep with lots of pillows! Gee... we're more alike than I knew!
Interesting stuff :)We have some things in common. You should explore the house dream further. It probably has additional meaning.
I'm a nail biter too. I sleep with lots of pillows. I make them into a den to crawl into.
Quite Interesting lil' facts aboutcha there Ma'am!!! Hope all is well... AJ
I really enjoy reading these! Again, quite a few things we have in common. I will post mine just as soon as I can think of 7 things I haven't already written about myself! (I guess there is something to be said about secrecy, hey?)
Cindi, I am so very glad you decided to blog. And then, to stick with it.
I'm not a good person to tag, sorry to say. I love to read such things but I never seem to do them back at my own house.
I don't bite my nails, but they're so weak and brittle I might as well.
I never used to sleep with many pillows. I had one small flat one and always, always, slept on my stomach.
Now I always, always must sleep on my back. I have a huge stack under my feet - elevate elevate! - slanted ones to keep me sleeping sitting up, for my lungs, and a small one under my bad back.
yikes!
And dreams? Don't even get me started! I love to dream. I do so vividly and in color, and often with sound and smell too.
I live in Florida, and I don't even have any ice cube trays. But I make Diet Sprite ice in glasses - I put a little in the glass, put it in the freezer, then take it out and pour Diet Sprite in it. When I'm gardening I'll do the same thing with 2-liter bottles. I drink a LOT.
Great meme! A gingerbread house huh? My guess it that there was a witch behind door number 3. Then again, I'm addicted to fairy tales. ;)
Of course I'll play. Thanks for the tag!
I'm a nail biter, too, although not like I used to be.
Is nail-biting a common characteristic among bloggers????
I had weak, brittle nails well into my thirties and constantly chewed them to the quick. Even after I got over the compulsion to bite them, they broke off at the merest bump. In the last couple of years, though, they've grown strong and they grow fast. Now my compulsion is to clip them...just a little every day.
I'se done did.
